How to be a successfull Board Manager

Skills of a Succesfull Board Manager

  1. Ability to run KPI and Board Meetings.
  2. Ability to act as a sounding board for ownership and a to be a true liaison between ownership & management.
  3. Ability to interface with Portfolio company Presidents and other key members of executive team in a coaching capacity.
  4. Ability to read KPI reports as well as Financial Statements or other types of financial reporting tools/reports.
  5. Ability to work with BizGro Finance/Accounting in order to spot problems and/or opportunities early so that executive teams can make adjustments.
  6. Ability to conduct productive onsite visits with executive teams and provide feedback to ownership.
  7. Ability to mediate problems and concerns between ownership and management.
  8. Ability to facilitate initial business planning sessions and annual planning sessions.
  9. Ability to help executive teams execute business plans that are created by management & ownership.
